Classic Rolls Royce Elegance
Clara is a 1958 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 1. She is owned by Sarah and Scott Hilton who run carsforweddings. If you ring the company you will speak directly to Scott or Sarah, who will help to give your wedding a very personal touch, that only a small family business can offer.
Clara's exterior is highly polished midnight blue and silver, you may have had your heart set on a white car, but the fabulous paint colour will really make the detail in your dress stand out. If you stand in a white or cream dress against a white car all the details is lost.
Clara's interior consists of duck egg blue leather, and her deep seats will make a for a very smooth and comfortable ride. She is 18ft long and will really announce your arrival.
Clara is serviced and maintained on a very regular basis, so you can relax and enjoy the journey in a classic Rolls Royce. She will be polished to perfection ready for your day.
The Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 1 was produced from 1955 to 1958 and Clara is one of only 2000 cars produced, and sadly now only a handful remain in her excellent condition.
When she was new Clara cost the handsome sum of £5560 which in 1958 would have bought you a 6 bed mansion in Surrey or 12 Morris Minors.
She has a top speed of 104 and has 155 horsepower engine. She manages 14 mpg, but don’t worry your chauffeur will be driving you at a very sedate pace and petrol is included in the price.
She has whitewall tyres and her interior is made from six duck egg blue leather hides. There are two highly polished walnut drop down tray tables and a vanity mirror in the back, so that you can check your makeup or hair on the way to a venue.
She has power steering which was an option in 1958 and cost £600 to install, and at the time this would have bought you a brand new mini.
Clara is painted in midnight blue and silver, only one silver cloud 1 was ever made originally in white and that was made for the author Barbara Cartland. All the white and cream ones that you may see advertised have been resprayed that colour. Clara however, remains authentic and true, plus in the photos your dress will really stand out against the midnight blue of the car.
Swinfen Hall in Staffordshire is magnificent Georgian Manor House and is a fantastic venue for a dream wedding. Here the Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 1 was the perfect car for the backdrop of the Hall. A combination of luxury car and luxury wedding. A huge thank you to the gorgeous Alex and Kay (the real Mr and Mrs Smith) who allowed us to use their photos.
